It feels like so long ago when I rushed to paint this now (I guess sometime in February) and it was one of the pieces I submitted for Dreamville Festival. I won’t be a vendor this year... I was waitlisted, so it’s probably for the best this go around. Still look forward to enjoying it however I can though! This painting is far from finished so it’s been bothering me to look at it, but oh well. Can’t believe the festival would’ve been tomorrow. I may go back to painting it and add some oil layers to HER face and hands to make them look better this weekend since... y’all know, safe at home all weekend.

What a day! Painted like crazy over the weekend to make the vendor app deadline for this year’s , which was a few hours ago. Can’t win a lottery if you never buy a ticket, right?! Anyway, hoping for good news soon and very thankful for Valentine’s Day coincidentally being a few days ago too because allll the emotions helped me to finally get to painting. This is one of the pieces I submitted an image of, inspired by one of my fave songs off of . I already love Ari and have mad respect for the Dreamville label, but this song put me on to Baby Rose. Her music and her voice... out of this world, so I HAD to paint her. No questions. Fingers crossed that she’ll be on the lineup this year 😬🤞🏾💓 @ Raleigh, North Carolina
