"My work explores the tension between erosion and repair, structure and chaos, permanence and impermanence. The Eye in the Deep Sea, William Butcher, acrylic and mixed media.

Of his process, Butcher says, "I am in my work, occupied with visions and images that emanate from the heart and the mind. It is by a peculiar compulsion that I am driven to bring these to life in a visual form. This is a force of memory that I understand but little and is dependent on a craft collectively rooted in a mysterious tradition whose secret and sacred tenets I am constantly in the process of reaffirming."

Fun fact: William joined our gallery after retiring from Suffield Academy where he chaired the Visual Art Department for nearly forty years and taught visual art including drawing, painting, sculpture and architecture.

KLG has 27 local, living members and has been representing them for over 20 years. Come by KLG and experience our talents.

Robert Eisig Bienstock, Road Trip

Of his work, "I use near-parallel lines to explore theoretical spaces--spatial, mathematical, emotional, and philosophical. I lay them down with paint and ink, pen and brush, on monotype or painted backgrounds. My lines explore concepts such as the intersection of order and disorder, and relationships between independently coherent spaces." --Robert Bienstock
