In early 2015, Escape New Haven launched Connecticut's first ever home-grown escape rooms. The rest, as they say, is history: we have hosted 80,000 players, received many hundreds of five-star reviews, and even had the joy of facilitating a handful of engagements at our venue. And to keep things fresh, we have designed over a dozen new escape rooms since we first launched, each one better than the

last.

2020 was a difficult year for us, as it was for all indoor venues -- but it was also a year of innovation, and a year in which we were recognized for our creativity and dedication to making great games. We won "Best Escape Room" in CT Magazine's Best of Connecticut list. We saw our pioneering self-guided outdoor games featured in the New Haven Independent and Fox 61. And we were proud to learn that our latest indoor escape room, "Before Moonrise," had been nominated for a Best Virtual Game AND Best Overall Game by experienced nominators for the prestigious Top Escape Rooms Project, a global award for escape room excellence.

Given the competitive phase during the first portion of the game, we typically recommend teams of 4-8 players (for maximum fun), but it can be played with less! 2 player minimum for any reservation and additional tickets can be added in right up to the start of the game!

Thursday we traveled to UConn Waterbury to run our on-site team building ‘Vanishing Island’ for Upward Bound/ConnCap. It was a great way for students of the program to come together after finals and have some fun!

We’re retiring the Game Show to make way for a brand-new game experience! 🧩🎉

We originally launched the Game Show back in June 2017, which feels like a lifetime ago! We took some design risks and reimagined the typical escape room experience by adding gameplay and elements that were previously unseen inside the industry. It was also our first fully tech driven, padlock free escape room.

You don’t need to just take our word for it either. Room Escape Artist said, “Escape New Haven included more inventive game mechanics in this escape room than most companies have in all of their games combined.” ✨

With August 31st being the final day, that leaves you just over 5 weeks to assemble a team and make your reservation. Don’t wait until it is too late! ⏳
