Warcock Entertainment is proud to host a *dual* release show for two of Connecticut’s premier metal acts!

Melodic death/doom powerhouse FIRES IN THE DISTANCE drop their new album “Circadian Promise” via Prosthetic Records on June 12th, while tech death scene stalwarts XENOSIS unleash “Hermetic Transmutation” via Transcending Obscurity Records on June 5th. Both bands are coming together to celebrate these achievements on one momentous evening!

Joining them will be the melodeath harmonies of APOSTASY, returning from a year-long hiatus with a refreshed lineup and a handful of new tracks, as well as the titans of eastern Connecticut death metal MARVEL OF DECAY kicking things off!

The party takes place at Counter Weight Brewing Company in Cheshire, in their upstairs space—just head up the stairs or elevator opposite the main bar downstairs. The lads in Ritual Pizza will be crankin’ out killer food all night, so arrive hungry! The upstairs doors open at 6:30 and the tunes kick off at 7… and the cover charge is *cash only* so please plan accordingly!

We are officially one week out! Here are the set times for the Mayday Melee happening next Saturday. From Ankle Pick through Values, there’s something for everyone in this lineup and not a weak spot to be found. Almost all of these bands have either a few members or an entire lineup traveling from out of state, so come out for the whole event and show your support!

The venue does have a cafe and snack bar as well to grab some food, and there is plenty of room indoors and outdoors to mingle between bands. Don’t forget to check out the playlists in our bio to familiarize yourself with all the sick sounds you’ll be hearing!

Warcock Entertainment is proud to announce its first event for 2026… Connecticut progressive metal stalwarts THE GREEN INVADERS are releasing their new EP “StarSeeker”, and we are proud to be hosting the release party in a brand new venue for us at Cheshire’s Counter Weight Brewing Company! Joining them is a heavyweight lineup start to finish, consisting of VALUES, NO HONOR AMONG THIEVES, CRYPTIC ENTITY, and LOW.

The music kicks off at 6pm sharp *upstairs* (stairs and elevator are located near the downstairs bar) and wraps up before 10. In addition to an extensive selection of craft beers and ciders, Counter Weight is also home to Ritual Pizza, serving up killer pizzas, smash burgers, and more!
