Exactly 25 years ago, on February 6, 1989, the Round Table Talks began in Poland (around an ACTUAL round table!). These talks, between the coaliton government and the Solidarity opposition, not only radically altered Polish government and society, but also gave momentum to the fall of the entire Communist Bloc!
