Yale Baroque Opera Project Introducing Yale students to studies related to Italian opera from the 17th and early 18th centuries.

The Yale Baroque Opera Project, founded in 2007, introduces Yale students to historical and aesthetic studies related to Italian opera from the 17th and early 18th centuries. The students' studies culminate each year with a full-scale professional opera production which serves to promote the study and performance of Baroque opera at both Yale and beyond.

Congratulations to Yale senior Sara Viola Speller for being awarded the Angela Fu Scholarship to study musicology at Oxford University! Sara recently performed the role of Venere in our production of “Orfeo.”

Jude Alawa, Leland Stange, Daphne Martin, Kelly Fu, Clara Ma, Sara Speller, Andrew Siaw-Asamoah, and Hallie Gaitsch will pursue study in the United Kingdom.
