Protect your table.

The people around you can shape the direction of your life.

As Dan “Big D” Sachkowsky Dan Sachkowsky | CEO Coach
shared with our international interns at The Table & Gallery:

“The wrong people can cost you years. The right people can change the trajectory of your life with one conversation.”

Choose people for their character, values, honesty, and ability to challenge you to grow—not simply because they are successful, popular, or connected.

And when someone opens a door for you, remember the responsibility that follows:

Hold it open for someone else.

Dan’s new book, “Falling Your Way Uphill”, continues many of these lessons around entrepreneurship, resilience, growth, mentorship, and building a meaningful legacy. In our conversation, Dan shared that the book is coming out in November.

Learn more about Dan, follow his work, and look out for his new book, Falling Your Way Uphill.

Your table matters.

Who are you choosing to sit at yours?

Once a year, we bring art off the walls, fashion into motion, and people together around the creators behind it all.

Because artists and designers need more than an audience.

Last June in New York City, The Table & Gallery presented “Resonance” a multidimensional exhibition exploring identity, sustainability, transformation, and creative expression through visual art, sculpture, and fashion.

The introspective paintings of Maxine Hoover Art and brought to vision by fashion designer annesiaallienewyork New York.

Maxine Hoover | New York City - presents experimental self-portraits born from deep introspection, meditation, and time at sea. Her ethereal paintings often created on reclaimed sails, blur the boundary between physical and spiritual realms-evoking surrender, vastness and elemental stillness.

Annesia Allie | New York - a fashion label known for its globally influenced designs brings Hoover’s art to life.
With over two decades of experience in luxury fashion including work with esteemed houses like Ralph Lauren Zac Posen and ELIE TAHARI Each piece in her collection is a wearable work of art, crafted with precision and elevated by a global perspective.

The Table & Gallery returns with our annual Art + Fashion experience, bringing artists, designers, and community together again to explore culture, identity, reinvention, and how we see and express ourselves.

How do we resonate with each other?

Megha Kumar | Yale Economics major and a passion for art, brought the culturally layered portraiture, examining the visibility and empowerment of women. Drawing from her Indian heritage.

Kumar fuses painting with 3D materials like fabric, jewelry, and modeling paste to create richly textured portraits that celebrate cultural legacy and female strength.

At the heart of the experience was a simple idea

Meet Jovanka: the creative force behind ZNSKAGLVA, say it with us: (ZHEN-ska GLAH-vah)

A New York-based creative director, architectural designer, inventor, and multidisciplinary artist, Jovanka works at the intersection of architecture, design, fashion, product, and technology.

Originally from Sydney, Australia, she spent more than a decade in the design and architecture industry before moving to the United States in 2019. As the daughter of immigrants who later became an immigrant herself, that move became a journey of rediscovering identity, ancestry, and belonging.

Turning back to her Serbian heritage for inspiration, Jovanka began blending old-world Slavic aesthetics with New York street culture, exploring bold femininity, cultural identity, and what it means to find your voice in a new place.

Born from authenticity, heritage, and the desire to be understood, ZNSKAGLVA became her expression of reinvention.

A new city. A new identity. A new way of being seen.

Next month, The Table & Gallery steps into its crown. Join us on September 9th in NYC.

ZNSKAGLVA (pronounced ZHEN-ska GLAH-vah) began as a phrase rooted in Balkan culture, once used to diminish the way women think, feel, and lead.

Now, it’s being reclaimed and rewritten by Jovanka, a creative director, architectural designer, inventor, artistic polymath based in New York City.

What was once a judgment becomes a crown.

Handmade in New York City/Serbia, ZNSKAGLVA transforms cultural memory, humor, identity, and female strength into wearable art.

This is where fashion becomes more than fashion, it becomes story, ancestry, and reinvention.

From the Balkans to New York.

From stereotype to identity.
From language to power.

What was once a judgment now becomes a crown.

September 9 we unveil the new collection!

An idea begins with a question: What does an artist need beyond visibility?

A place to be seen, yes…but also context, conversation, community, and someone willing to believe in the work before the world understands it.

The Unfinished Room

This is the part we do not talk about enough.
The building. The experimenting. The empty rooms. The work created before there is an audience waiting for it.

Every artist has a season where the vision is bigger than the evidence.

That season matters.

“…with a pile of abandon, patiently built, a ruined throne in the rain, half-way, down the street, appraising the poor, you stole my last plate”
~Pablo Neruda

When life removes things you thought defined you, who are you then?

Transformation does not mean becoming someone else. It means becoming more fully expressed.

The work becomes clearer.
The story becomes stronger.
The right collaborators begin to find you.
And what once felt like experimentation becomes a body of work, a point of view, a career.

At The Table & Gallery, we believe artists are not meant to remain in one room, one medium, one market, or one version of themselves.

Our work is to help create the bridge between where an artist is, what they are becoming, and where their work can go next.

Artists: if you are entering a new chapter, we want to see it.

Send us your portfolio, your story, and the work you are creating now. We are looking to connect with artists ready for thoughtful representation, exhibitions, collaborations, editorial storytelling, and opportunities beyond their current market.

Your next chapter may begin with an introduction.

We are taught very early to answer one deceptively difficult question: What do you do?

In the latest piece for The Table & Gallery Journal, we explore artist and designer Jayesh Sachdev as a case study in multidisciplinary creativity and what neuroscience can teach us about why connection, curiosity, and crossing boundaries matter. This is not just a profile on an artist. It’s a deeper look at why some of the most compelling creative work happens between multiple disciplines.

If you have ever felt like you were “too many things,” struggled to fit your work into one title, or wondered whether your varied interests are a weakness rather than an advantage, this piece is for you.

What could you create if you stopped believing you had to be only one thing?

“These paintings explore the temple not as a destination, but as a state of mind. Through architecture, colour and reflection, they invite us to look inward and question the spaces we build within ourselves.”
~ Jayesh Sachdev

“What is a temple?” Art Collection by Jayesh Sachdev

*Available for purchase, DM or email: [email protected]

What do you worship?

Success, beauty, technology, tradition, love, the self.

Every generation creates its own symbols and rituals.

“What is a temple?” Leaves us with a more uncomfortable question.

What have we made sacred without realizing it?

What is a temple?

Is it a building, a sacred place, a body, a memory, or something we carry within us?

Art collection by Jayesh Sachdev

To enquire: [email protected]

Where does the sacred begin?

What happens when we look beyond architecture and begin to think of the temple as an idea?

A space shaped by ritual, identity, memory, and the human need to find meaning.

Jayesh Sachdev’s “What is a temple?” Invites us to reconsider where sacredness lives.

Can art become a temple?

Art asks us to stop, to look longer, to feel before we understand.

Perhaps the temple does the same.

Through contemporary visual language, Jayesh creates an encounter between the ancient impulse toward the sacred and our increasingly modern world.

What is a temple to you?
What do you consider sacred?
