It’s finally happening

We’re in the home stretch

The space in the shopping center that I originally wanted to move into is almost done 😍

If you don’t know - I moved Love & Stitches from Yorkville to New Hartford in January this year. I’ll be the first to tell you it was not ideal timing to move in the middle of winter into a temporary space without a set in stone date for moving into the store front I wanted. It’s ok though. It all worked out the way it needed to.

I don’t want to get too emotional on this Wednesday morning but I want to end this post with one of my favorite quotes...

“And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.”

As we get closer to the NY Sheep & Wool Festival (aka Rhinebeck) I thought I would address some misconceptions

Here’s a couple things Regina and I have heard when we’re talking about the bus trip

I’d hate for someone to miss out on a great day in yarnie heaven because of any of these things.

If you have any other questions about going to Rhinebeck - please ask! We will do our best to answer and try to help.

Gotta highlight one of our yarnies - Ellen!

On a normal day Ellen is bright and bubbly.
This Saturday she was absolutely BEAMING with her 2 latest finished projects.

Shes rocking the Northwood Cardigan by Marly Bird. She crocheted this with Anchor Bay. She kept looking at this yarn longingly since it came into the shop. So she kept bringing a skein home almost every time she visited 😂

The cowl Ellen is wearing is the Waffle Cowl (ask Regina or look at the tag when you’re in the shop because I can’t remember haha). She knit this using our new yarn, Bossa Nova!

Ellen did a lovely job on both projects!!

I would like to think our sweater make along helped motivate her to get this sweater finished so quickly. We actually had 3 other sweaters that were completed this week too. Possibly 4? It was an exciting morning 😁

Our sweater make along is continuing through September as well. You can still join us on Saturday mornings even if you haven’t yet. We’re a welcoming bunch! And don’t be discouraged if you haven’t finished a sweater in a month. Some of us started a little early, some of us have different things going on in life that dictate how much time we have to yarn. There’s no judgment, just support as you’re yarning 🧶

Hope you have a great Monday!

I know I’m not the only one that loves some true crime documentaries or podcasts while yarning!

Reserve your seat by Sept 12!!
That’s less than a month away!!

We’re going to Rhinebeck! (NYS Sheep & Wool Festival)

Join our bus trip on Sunday, October 18th

Hang out with some cool yarnies while we travel down to the Dutchess County Fairgrounds for an awesome fiber filled day!

We will leave from the Utica Walmart at 6am to arrive at the festival around 9:30am (yes, there will be a rest stop on the way down)

Then after being around all of the yarnie goodness we will get back on the bus once the festival closes at 4pm. On our way home we will have another rest stop and get back to Utica around 8pm.

It is $80 per person due by 9/12/26
Cancellation - no refunds after 9/20/26

Stop by the store or call to reserve your seat! Or visit the website to pay for your seat there.

Please call during regular store hours. We have had some super eager yarnies calling. As much as we appreciate the enthusiasm, it is tough to process the payment if we aren’t in the store. 😅

If you want more details, we have a blog post up with all the information in one place.

Let’s us know if you have any other questions and we will be happy to help
