Born on October 1, 1924, Jimmy Carter’s life took him from a small farming community in Plains, Georgia, to the White House as the 39th President of the United States.

His story, however, continued for decades after his presidency. Together with his wife Rosalynn, he founded The Carter Center in 1982, working on conflict resolution, election observation, human rights, and the fight against diseases including Guinea worm disease. He also spent many years volunteering with Habitat for Humanity.

In 2002, Carter received the Nobel Peace Prize for his decades of efforts involving peaceful conflict resolution, democracy, human rights, and social and economic development.

Jimmy Carter passed away on December 29, 2024, at the remarkable age of 100.

On his birthday, we remember a life that stretched across an entire century—from a Georgia farm to the presidency and decades of humanitarian work afterward. Happy heavenly birthday, Jimmy Carter. 🕊️❤️

REMEMBERING JANE GOODALL 🕊️🌿

On October 1, we remember Dr. Jane Goodall, one year after the world lost a woman who forever changed the way we understand our closest animal relatives.

Beginning her groundbreaking work with wild chimpanzees in Tanzania in 1960, Jane made observations that challenged what scientists thought they knew about animals—including documenting chimpanzees making and using tools. But her life’s work eventually became much bigger than research. She traveled the world advocating for wildlife, conservation, and a healthier planet for future generations.

Jane Goodall passed away on October 1, 2025, at the remarkable age of 91. Even in her later years, she continued traveling, speaking, teaching, and encouraging people to believe that their individual actions could make a difference.

Remembering Jane Goodall today—not only for what she taught us about chimpanzees, but for what she taught us about our responsibility to the natural world. 🌍🐒🕊️

REMEMBERING TONY CURTIS 🕊️🎬

On this day in 2010, Hollywood said goodbye to Tony Curtis, one of the most recognizable leading men of the 1950s and ’60s. He was 85.

Curtis was much more than the handsome Hollywood star he was often portrayed as. He could make audiences laugh alongside Marilyn Monroe and Jack Lemmon in Some Like It Hot, then turn around and deliver powerful dramatic performances in The Defiant Ones and Sweet Smell of Success. He was equally memorable as Antoninus in Spartacus and showed a much darker side of his acting in The Boston Strangler.

Born Bernard Schwartz in the Bronx, Curtis rose from a difficult childhood to become an international movie star, building a screen career that lasted roughly six decades. His performance opposite Sidney Poitier in The Defiant Ones earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.

Tony Curtis passed away on September 29, 2010, but the films he left behind still show just how versatile he could be—comedy, drama, historical epics and darker roles all belonged in his remarkable career.

Remembering Tony Curtis today, 16 years after his passing, and a Hollywood legacy that still lives on through the classics. 🕊️❤️

REMEMBERING DENNIS HASKINS 🕊️

For anyone who spent Saturday mornings watching Saved by the Bell, Dennis Haskins wasn’t simply an actor—he was Mr. Belding, the principal who somehow managed to keep up with Zack Morris and the rest of Bayside High.

With his familiar “Hey, hey, hey, what is going on here?”, Haskins turned what could have been a typical school-principal character into one of the most recognizable faces of the series. He first played Richard Belding on Good Morning, Miss Bliss before continuing the role throughout Saved by the Bell and later Saved by the Bell: The New Class.

Dennis Haskins has passed away at the age of 75. His death marks another sad loss for fans who grew up with the halls of Bayside High.

For a generation of viewers, hearing that famous line will always bring back memories of lockers, school bells, Zack’s schemes—and the principal who was usually there trying to figure out exactly what was going on.

Rest in peace, Dennis Haskins. Bayside High just lost its principal. 🕊️❤️

Kris Kristofferson was a rare talent who left his mark on both music and Hollywood. ❤️🎶🎬

Before becoming famous, he was a Rhodes Scholar and served in the U.S. Army. He went on to write timeless songs including “Me and Bobby McGee,” “Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down,” and “Help Me Make It Through the Night,” and later joined Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and Waylon Jennings in the legendary country supergroup The Highwaymen.

But Kris was also an accomplished actor. He starred opposite Barbra Streisand in A Star Is Born and became familiar to a whole new generation as Abraham Whistler, Blade’s mentor and ally, in the Blade films alongside Wesley Snipes.

Kris passed away peacefully at his Maui home on September 28, 2024, at age 88, surrounded by his family.

Whether you remember him holding a guitar or standing beside Blade hunting vampires, Kris Kristofferson was truly one of a kind. His music, movies, and unforgettable presence will live on. 🕊️❤️

For fans of Beverly Hills Cop, John Ashton will always be remembered as Detective Sergeant John Taggart—the tough, no-nonsense cop whose chemistry with Eddie Murphy and Judge Reinhold helped make the films so much fun. ❤️🎬

Beyond Taggart, John built a career spanning more than 50 years, with memorable appearances in Midnight Run, Some Kind of Wonderful, and Gone Baby Gone. In 2024, he even returned as Taggart one final time in Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F.

John passed away on September 26, 2024, at age 76. Today, his performances remain a wonderful reminder of a dependable character actor who could bring humor, toughness, and heart to the screen.

Remembering John Ashton and the characters he left behind. 🕊️❤️

Today, on what would have been his birthday, we remember Jansen Panettiere—a talented actor, artist, and beloved younger brother of Hayden Panettiere.

Born on September 25, 1994, Jansen began acting at a young age and appeared in projects such as Even Stevens, Tiger Cruise, Racing Stripes, Ice Age: The Meltdown, and The Walking Dead. Beyond acting, he found another way to express himself through his passion for painting and art.

Jansen passed away unexpectedly in 2023 at just 28 years old. His family later revealed that he died from an enlarged heart, along with complications involving his aortic valve.

This birthday feels especially emotional knowing that both Jansen and his beloved sister Hayden are now gone. We can only imagine the two siblings together again in heaven, reunited after being taken from this world far too soon. 🕊️❤️

Happy heavenly birthday, Jansen. May you and Hayden rest together in peace, and may your memories continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved you.

Today marks 10 years since we lost Bill Nunn, a gifted character actor whose unforgettable performances made him a familiar face to generations of movie fans.

For many, Bill will always be Radio Raheem in Spike Lee’s Do the Right Thing—a powerful performance that became one of the most memorable parts of the film. But his career went far beyond that role. He appeared in New Jack City, Sister Act, He Got Game, and School Daze, and later became known to a new generation as Robbie Robertson of the Daily Bugle in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy.

Bill had a special ability to make supporting characters feel important. Whether the role was serious, intimidating, warm, or humorous, he brought a natural presence that was difficult to forget.

He passed away on September 24, 2016, after battling cancer. Today, on the anniversary of his passing, we remember Bill Nunn not only for Radio Raheem, but for the many memorable characters he gave us throughout his career.

10 years later, his work is still being watched, remembered, and appreciated. Rest in peace, Bill Nunn. 🕊️
