Our elementary schools are teaming up to support The Rink as they recover from the recent flooding. Each school will host a fundraising skate, with proceeds going toward recovery efforts.

I honestly am speechless!! So many in this community stepping up to support The Rink has me absolutely speechless. Thank you Riley Elementary and all the other elementaries for sharing this event/events! The thing that breaks my heart the most about not being open for awhile is missing the kids. The kids we see daily, weekly or monthly is what it's all about!! ugh..... prese know that you all are missed but we'll get there!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!

The flooding absolutely devastated parts of our town that were staples in New Castle. The Rink, New Castle Skate Center is one of those places where the water devastated. I remember going to skate parties there when I was as young in 5th grade. I’ve seen so many fundraisers and aid to people all over town which is amazing. I talked to TrentKatina Dishman and wanted to help in a way I can!

The world lost a wonderful man this past week. Terry Frost worked for many years at The Rink, New Castle Skate Center for Mark and Beth and he was also a best friend (more like a brother) to our own Kevin Frazier. He was one of a kind and I know lots of people will miss him and his wonderful personality.

The support we have received in the last week has been completely overwhelming in a good way. Tonight Matt Digiorgi and his staff from "The Skate" in Richmond Indiana hosted a fundraiser night for The Rink, New Castle Skate Center!!! It was a complete success and such a beautiful night of support from lots and lots of skaters!! From the bottom of my heart, Matt Digiorgi, thank you for all you did for us this evening!! I'm speechless and overwhelmed at the generosity!!! Thank you so very much.

Hi, Rain. We need to talk. We kinda need a break. No, you didn't do anything wrong (you did... The Rink, New Castle Skate Center is our friend!). It's just...we've spent a lot of time together lately and it's just too much too fast (literally). We're feeling a little (a lot) overwhelmed. It's not you (it is), it's us (it's not). We hope you understand and will give us the space to get over you (we already are). Good luck to you. Also, would you by any chance have the Sun's number?
