We realized we never shared this wonderful feature from Mahoning Matters when it was published in September.

The article highlights the opening of Lucymont Events & Performing Arts Center here in New Castle and the beginning of this new chapter for Adage Ballet Academy. We’re grateful to see the work happening here recognized within the greater Mahoning Valley community.

Thank you to Mahoning Matters for taking the time to share our story, and to everyone who has welcomed and supported us since our move to Pennsylvania.

Adage Ballet Academy alumnus Liam White reflects on his time training with us and what ballet gave him along the way.

After graduating from our Primary Advanced Tier, Liam continues his training in the San Francisco Ballet Pre-Professional Division.

Through our Boys Dance Scholarship Fund, we hope to help more boys access the arts through movement.

We had the pleasure of joining Yolanda Gentsy on Entertainment New Castle last night to talk about everything ahead for Adage Ballet Academy and Jai Yoga at Lucymont E.P.A.C.

We shared more about our move to New Castle, our training programs, upcoming events, and the growing community we are building here at Lucymont.
Registration is still open for new students, and there are many ways to experience the academy before committing — including free trial classes, drop-in classes, and private lessons.
If you missed the live conversation, you can watch it here and learn more about what we have planned for the season ahead.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to introduce ourselves to more of the New Castle community and look forward to welcoming new families into the studio.

Theory is part of the training at Adage Ballet Academy because we want our dancers to understand not only how to dance, but why classical ballet is built the way it is.

In this class, Guillaume Basso explains one of the ideas behind our name, Adage.

Carlo Blasis famously described adagio as the “touchstone of the dancer” — a test of control, placement, balance, line, and musicality. Adagio asks the dancer to sustain movement rather than rush through it, revealing the quality and stability of the technique underneath.

That idea has always resonated deeply with us.

The name Adage also reflects the steadiness we value in training: thoughtful work, control, patience, and consistent effort over time. Rather than chasing quick results, we believe in building technique that lasts.

Theory class gives our full-time dancers the language, history, and context behind the work they do every day in the studio — and helps them understand the principles that shape our school as well.
