PennOhio Clay Guild

PennOhio Clay Guild Our fully equipped clay studio is located in New Castle, PA. We are a nonprofit organization run by volunteers. We have no paid staff at this time.

By removing barriers to participation, we seek to connect and cultivate a diverse community of clay artists in the eastern Ohio / western Pennsylvania region through education, public outreach, artist promotion, collaboration, resources and support. POCG is a cooperative group of clay artists of all skill levels, united under a shared vision to make learning and practicing ceramic arts accessible

to everyone in the northern region of Western PA/Eastern OH. What makes our guild successful is that POCG provides an abundance of resources, space, and opportunities, while artists contribute their time, talent, and treasure. The result of this relationship is a dynamic environment and robust learning community where members get out what they put in. Whether you're looking to support our community or dive into hands-on experience, we offer numerous ways to get involved, which you can learn more about on our website: www.pennohioclayguild.org

Art in our community matters and your voice matters!
Assist Workhorse Collaborative, a Pittsburgh-based agency, in conducting a survey on behalf of a Lawrence County arts and culture institution. This short survey - only about 10 minutes - will help shape the future of arts and culture in our community.

Participants are entered into a drawing for one of three $100 gift cards to Amazon, Walmart, or Giant Eagle at the end. All responses are anonymous. The survey closes Sunday, September 14, 2025.

Every voice counts—let yours be heard!

We at POCG are excited to providing a demonstration of horsehair pottery at the Hoyt's Ignite event for the first time this year!
What is horsehair pottery? It's a surface decoration technique where we will be applying organic items such as horsehair and feathers to red-hot pottery pulled straight from the kiln to create interesting carbon footprint effects!

We hope to see you there! September 20 from 6-10pm.

These mugs mark her final body of work created during a summer dedicated to her own artistic growth. This tartan-inspired series reflects months of experimentation, technical problem-solving, and creative exploration.
