MEET OUR PRESIDENT: MS. ROXANNE T. REID
Playwright, Director, Producer
In 2001, Ms. Reid started Southerngal Productions, an
entertainment company specializing in show productions.
She produces talent shows, fashion shows, comedy shows,
plays and skits. She has produced skits and plays for New
Song Bible Fellowship Church in Lanham, MD; Easter
Community Church in Landover, MD; Redeemed Chris-
tian Fellowship in Capitol Heights, MD; New Beginnings
Community Church in Bowie, MD; Southern Maryland
Higher Education Center in California, MD; The Publick Playhouse in Cheverly,
MD; Howard University in Washington, DC; Suitland's Annabelle Ferguson
Auditorium in Suitland, MD and Ark of Safety Christian Church in Upper
Marlboro, MD.
Her first skit was performed in November of 2010.
She then wrote and produced,
"Things Are Not Always What They Seem", an Aids skit for
Howard University's Fundraiser Luncheon to benefit their first Aids Conference, which was held December 3, 2010.
She is the author of several plays:
"Sins of the Father",
"The Do Drop in"
"The Preacher Man",
"Silent Screams",
"Getting My Piece of The Pie".
"Grandma's Hands"
"and "Blu Comes Home".
She also performed stand-up
Gospel comedy as Sister Gertha Mae Brown, (Gertie), whom she has performed for local churches and charities in the Metropolitan Area.
Her goal as a Playwright, Director and Producer is to use her gifts and the stage as a platform to make a difference in the world by ministering to the saved and unsaved; exposing them to the goodness of God by exploring different challenges and realities faced in today's society.
Her objective is to glorify God by using the talent He has given her to benefit her ministry.
