Join us Wednesday, August 26 for a full day at the Art League of New Britain.

At 1:30 PM, meet the Mayor of New Britain and join us for a special check presentation as The 1772 Foundation awards ALNB a $10,000 historic preservation matching grant for our Carriage House.

Then come back that evening for our Annual Meeting.

Happy Hour begins at 6:00 PM
Annual Meeting begins at 7:00 PM

Enjoy catering from DeNovellis, refreshments, and time to connect with fellow members, artists, and friends of ALNB. Guests are also welcome to bring a dish to share.

Come celebrate an exciting milestone for the Art League, hear what we have accomplished this year, and learn what is ahead for ALNB.

Be sure to come out to the Art League of New Britain, tomorrow 8/26/26 at 1:30 pm for a special presentation of a $10,000 check to us by the 1772 Grant Foundation. Mayor Bobbie Sanchez will be in attendance for this special event. Please come out and support this wonderful presentation. Bring your family, friends and neighbors!

Thank you to everyone who has supported the Carriage House Restoration Fund.

Because of your generosity, we officially unlocked the full $2,000 matching gift from our anonymous donor, bringing us to $6,525 raised toward our $10,000 goal.

We are now more than 65% of the way there, with $3,475 left to raise.

These funds will help the Art League of New Britain meet the matching requirement for our 2026 Stewart Barney Kean Historic Preservation Matching Grant through The 1772 Foundation and support exterior painting, finishes, and restoration work at our historic Carriage House.

The matching gift may be complete, but the campaign is not. Help us cross the finish line and reach our $10,000 goal.

BIG THINGS HAPPENING AT THE ART LEAGUE THIS WEDNESDAY 8/26

1:30 Grant presentation : Please join us on Wednesday, August 26 at 1:30 PM for a special grant check presentation ceremony at ALNB. Representatives from the 1772 Foundation will present the grant award, and we will be joined by the Mayor of New Britain.

Then come back at 6:00 for our Annual Meeting. Drinks, music, and catering by DeNovelli’s.

Meet the Artist Tomorrow!

Stop by the Art League of New Britain on Sunday, August 23, from 1:30–4:00 p.m. to meet David Jackson, who will be gallery sitting for America 250: The Art of Independence.

David’s bold, layered works examine American identity, consumer culture, community, and the forces that shape our lives:

Cut From the Same Cloth II — Oil and mixed media, $7,500
Rose from Concrete I — Oil and acrylic, $3,750
Don’t Drink the Kool-Aid — Oil and acrylic, $6,750

Come experience these powerful works in person, explore the full exhibition, and speak with David about his ideas and creative process.
