Found a scorpion in the house? Almost every one in New Braunfels is a striped bark scorpion, and it gets in the same way spiders do: gaps around doors and windows, pipe openings, and the weep holes in brick and stone.

Our newest article covers what to seal this weekend, what to clear away from the foundation, and what a perimeter treatment adds, with tips from Texas A&M AgriLife. Find it on the blog on our website.

New construction lawn in New Braunfels looking thin and w**dy? It usually isn't anything you did. Most builder sod here is Bermuda laid over a few inches of fill on top of compacted rock, so the roots have almost no room to grow.

Our newest article explains why new lawns start out this way and what actually fixes it, from top dressing to a fertilization and w**d control program. Find it on the blog on our website.

Fertilized and the lawn is still pale? On New Braunfels limestone soil it is almost always iron, not nitrogen. Our soil is alkaline, and at that pH the iron in the ground is locked up where Bermuda roots cannot take it in, so the grass goes yellow between the veins no matter how much you feed it. More nitrogen just makes it grow faster and paler. New on our blog: how to tell iron chlorosis from a nitrogen problem, why bagged iron from the hardware store often does nothing, and what actually fixes it on Hill Country lawns. Questions about your yard? Call (830) 730-8022.

Pale Bermuda after fertilizing is usually iron chlorosis from alkaline limestone soil, not low nitrogen. How to tell, and what fixes it in New Braunfels.

🍂🌱 Fall Is Here—Now’s the Time to Get Ahead of Weeds!

Tired of fighting the same w**ds every spring? Don’t wait until they show up again!

Fall is an important window for pre-emergent treatment. Applying it at the right time helps prevent certain w**d seeds from germinating over winter and into early spring. Waiting until you see the w**ds may mean you’ve missed the window for pre-emergent to work.

🏡 New Braunfels & Seguin homeowners: Now’s the time to plan your fall treatment! Message Lemonade Lawn Care today to ask about availability and get on our schedule.

Most New Braunfels lawns sit on about two inches of fill over limestone, with one NBU watering day a week and often no sprinkler system. That combination is why Bermuda goes gray and crunchy in July no matter how much water you put down. New on our blog: the 20-minutes-twice watering schedule that keeps Bermuda alive on rocky Hill Country soil, how to tell if your water is actually soaking in, and what to do over a few seasons so the lawn needs less water. Questions about your yard? Call (830) 730-8022.
