AUDITION REMINDER:
Auditions are one week away for this year’s Wurstfest Melodrama: The Wurst Adventures of Bratenhood. Our annual melodramas are a ton of fun to watch, but they’re even more fun to BE IN!!! Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script and some improvisation. Since the show changes a bit every night, we definitely are looking for people who are ready to play along with the audience and zig and zag as necessary. Don’t let that intimidate you though, we’ll help you get used to it during the rehearsals process! We are looking for 8 energetic people (age 18-80) ready to have a blast with this spoof of the classic tale. Parts exist for 1 male, 1 female, 6 any gender. Roles include Bratenhood, Maid Mustard, Sheriff of Wurstingham, Little Jahn, Fryer Cluck AND MORE!
Auditions will be held Sunday September 20 at 7:00
Rehearsals will begin in October
Performances are every day of Wurstfest- November 6-15. Weeknights at 7:30, Saturday and Sundays at 4:00

Meet Truvy Jones (Joy Lindsey) and Annelle Dupuy (Madison Montagne)- our incredible beauticians in “Steel Magnolias.” Truvy creates works of (hair) art for the ladies of Chinquapin out of her carport-turned-salon. Anyone who is anybody gets their hair done at Truvy’s! And if you go on Saturdays, you’ll see the rest of the ladies of the neighborhood there chatting and gabbing and having a great time. Truvy’s newest hire is Annelle. She’s just out of beauty school and ready to give it her all. Since she’s new to town, she has to be let in on all the local gossip. Fortunately, the Saturday crowd is happy to oblige! Truvy is a hair stylin’ master and fun ball of energy. Annelle is on the quirky and shy side. But together, they make a great team. Come see them in action October 2-18.

It’s not too late to sign up for our Klasses in Drama. The Advanced Classes begin today, but the rest of the classes start on Monday. We only have 1 slot available for 6th-9th grade, but there are a few for the 2nd-5th grade class. These classes are great for new theatre kids, experienced ones, and everything in between. This semester’s show is “Mary Poppins Jr” and IT’S GONNA BE A BLAST!

We still have 4 shows this season, but we’re SO EXCITED about our upcoming 59th SEASON!!! We have 2 musicals, 2 comedies and 1 mystery (plus our melodrama and other bonus shows) slated for 2027. We can’t make the official announcements for a couple of them until October 1st, but that doesn’t mean we can’t give hints and get the conversations started. So get ready!
