Many thanks to everyone on Saturday who brought canned goods, peanut butter, dry beans, and scads more equaling 80 pounds of non-perishables. Those food items PLUS the $400 raffle earnings equaled 2866 meals!!! Wow!!!

NB Food Bank Development Director, Nina Salinas, was gracious and posed with the receipts from the Brent Burns concert contributions!

It was a fun-filled day with great friends and good music from an original master of Trop Rock, Mr. Brent Burns. Many thanks to everyone who pitched in with snacks, goodies, ice, tents, tickets, and NB Food Bank donations. A special note of appreciation to those who helped Brent dry out his shoes. IYKYK

Food Bank Update!!

Thank you to contributors at Saturday’s house concert!! We collected $$ (from the raffle) and non-perishables to equate to 3398 meals, bringing Lakeside Lanai’s total donations since beginning in 2020 to just over 40K meals. AMAZING!!

The food and $$ donations were all taken to the NB Branch of the SA Food Bank and given in the name of the SAPHC!! Wow!!!

Great job, music fans!!

Ask — and we received!!

Over 500 t-shirts!

For Parrothead charity quilts.

There were Buffett concerts, trop rock singers & bands, trop rock events, extinct events, deceased musicians, piratical logos, bars and drinking themed, beachy relaxation styles, PH clubs and cruises…… and more! The logos were cut out for future quilt squares.

The remnants after cutting (five trash bags full) are headed to an animal charity near SA. The shirts that were NOT Trop Rock were dropped off at a local family charity.

The Texas shirts were organized for Mary Diaz (Pardi Gras), Gloria Rooney (Galveston & Riddles), Pam Matthews (Austin Pirates Ball), SAPHC (Survive), Canyon Lake (P4), and Port A (Wings). The others are being shipped to Sheila Jorgensen in California, The Quilt Lady.

Thank you to Sally & Dave Spenny, Amy Durden, Derrick Dowden, Doc & Susan Blanchard for your delivery assistance. MANY THANKS to all who “took the shirts off of their backs” to donate!!!!
