We are excited to announce that the owners of Giraffe Inn & Safari have closed on their new property in Decatur. Season of Lights will be moving there as well for the 2026 season.

First and foremost, we want to thank everyone for being so supportive of the Dierolf's and Mach's taking over Season of Lights. We wanted to take what the Baggett's had started and put our own spin on it to bring you something truly unique. However, with the impending move of the Giraffe Inn & Safari, Season of Lights will be moving as well. We will not be open at all for the 2025 season, but we look forward to opening in the 2026 season at our new location in the north DFW area. We hope to see you then. In the meantime, feel free to follow the Mach Christmas Display and come see their 3.5 acre walk-through display with over half a Million lights that was featured on The Great Christmas Light Fight.

We are excited to announce that Season of Lights will remain in Bowie County and just 4 miles from its current location. Giraffe Inn & Safari owned by Tiffany and Tony Dierolf have partnered with Patrick and Natasha Mach to bring the greatest light show in Bowie County! The Dierolf's are Texas natives who have chosen Bowie County to reside and invest in! The Mach's already own a large Christmas Display that they have done for 20 years, Mach Christmas Display. Fun Fact-They were featured on The Great Christmas Light Fight Show, Season 12 Episode 5.

As we transition the business, we ask that you continue to support them as you have us for 8 years! While you wait for the Christmas Season you want to go visit Giraffe Inn & Safari, it is absolutely a fun family outing with tons of animals to see including the Giraffes and the new baby hippos! The new owners will be taking over the Season of Lights Page. Again, we appreciate all the support you have provided us and truly loved our staff and our loyal customers

That’s a wrap! We are blessed to close our business on a high with our success being because of all of you! We have had such an amazing run with many cherished memories with first Santa visits, engagements, parties, date nights, family nights, church nights, nursing homes and more! We have had the best staff ever, vendors have been so kind, giving sponsors and the community has rallied to help us when we needed! I wish I could name everyone but I would forget someone during this emotional post! With your help we were able to donate to multiple charities over the years! This business has been a huge part of our families holiday tradition. Next year wont be the same but we are looking forward to the next chapter! We are still hoping for someone local to open a Christmas Trail, stay tuned! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support and May God Bless and Yours! The Baggett Family
