It's with an extremely heavy and broken heart that I announce I will no longer be face painting. It's just too hard to do without my husband. I may still do a few things here and there, but mostly for church or charity. Thanks for the great ten year ride. Thanks for letting us put smiles on the faces of so many precious children.

We are almost finished with our tenth week with Bob at the VA Hospital in Durham. I haven't been home in New Bern since April 7th. Docs said this morning ten more months. We cannot even fathom it. We covet your prayers. God bless you all.

Going on week six and still in the hospital with my hubby. We were so sad to miss the Jacksonville Jamboree today, our favorite festival of the year. Praying Bob will be released in the next two weeks but it will be a long recovery at home too.

My dear, sweet husband has been in the hospital since April 1st, the last seven days in Durham, where we are at this moment. He might have two more surgeries ahead. Please pray for his recuperation and health. We don't know when he will be released, and even then, he will need a lot of help. Thanks so much.

I'll be donating my services to the event, "Get your Color On" which provides support for cancer patients in Craven County. It's March 30, at the NC History Center, from 12-2. Please come out and help support this wonderful cause.

At the Crystal Coast Hospice House Gingerbread fest and competition being held at the Morehead City Civic Center. Hours for face painting are 1-3 both today and tomorrow. Next weekend we’ll be at the Home and Holiday show at the fairgrounds from 9-3. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone!!

I will again be face painting at the Crystal Coast Hospice annual Gingerbread festival in Morehead City December 8th and 9th. It's a really fun time and an excellent charity. Please come out and see all the decorated trees and amazing gingerbread work. Oh, and me!
