We are thrilled to be hosting JJ Hurst: The Embodied Phyzio for three fantastic workshops on Saturday, June 27th in our Aerial Studio!

JJ Hurst is a physical therapist, dancer, aerialist, long distance runner, lifter, and a trauma-informed provider. We are so excited to have them come to New Bern and help us dedicate an afternoon to learning more about how our bodies move and work in the air and on the ground!

We've been having a blast at Summer Circus Camp this week 🎪

It's so hard for me to pick up my phone and take pictures when we're running around (and up in the air!), but I wanted to make sure to share a few and ask everyone to check their schedules for a day to send your kids away to the circus!! We've got openings in just about every week for the rest of the month!!

Pictured: a balloon dog named Mouse (he has been adopted), one of our second year campers teaching newer students to make bead lizards (they are more fun than bead clowns, apparently!), a Man on the Moon in our tiniest Lyra, and some fun with the LED poi!

In addition to learning & playtime on the Silks, Sling, Lyra, and Trapeze, we've played hungry hippos on the slings, made costumes out of old aerial silk fabrics, created a routine together with the silk fans, came up with our own clown face paint, tie dyed some camp shirts, and more. All in 70-72°F air conditioning 😎 it's a pretty sweet gig to be a ringmaster!
