🎉 Attention Vendors: We would like to thank all of our longtime vendors for your continued support of New Berlin Day. We are excited to welcome both returning and new vendors to New Berlin Day 2026 on Saturday, August 22!

✨ As many of you know, our committee has been navigating the recent loss of our former president, Logan Roush. During this transition, some of our traditional vendor mailings have taken longer than usual. We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to continue the event he and our team care so deeply about.

✨ We are happy to share that artisan and craft vendor letters were mailed last week, and thanks to the efforts of our amazing volunteer team, an envelope-stuffing party is taking place this weekend so that antique vendor applications can be mailed on Monday.

✨ Our committee is working hard to preserve the traditions that make New Berlin Day special while continuing to build an exciting event for our community. We are grateful for the many vendors who have been part of this festival over the years and look forward to seeing everyone in August.

🎉 Exciting News! Our Re-Designed New Berlin Day 2026 brochures have officially hit the region!

✨ A huge thank you to the Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau for helping distribute our event brochures throughout Central PA. Keep an eye out for them at businesses, attractions, and community gathering spots!

✨ As we prepare for New Berlin Day 2026, we want to take a moment to honor Logan Roush, the person who dedicated so much of his time, energy, and talent to making this event possible year after year.

Logan devoted countless hours to supporting community events and helping New Berlin Day grow into the meaningful tradition our town knows and loves today. His leadership, service, and commitment to the community made a lasting impact, and his contributions will not be forgotten.

💙 The committee extends its sincere gratitude for all he gave to New Berlin.

While this year will look a little different as we navigate this loss, a dedicated team of volunteers is working together to carry on the traditions he valued so deeply. We ask for your patience and support as we honor his legacy by continuing the work he loved.

Do you enjoy planning, organizing, sharing ideas, or helping bring community events to life? Do you have a little extra time to fill this summer?

🎉 We’re looking for 3–4 additional volunteers and “Friends of New Berlin” to join our team as we prepare for New Berlin Day 2026

Event Date & Time:
Saturday, August 22, 2026
9:00 AM – 3:00 PM!

New Berlin Day is truly a community effort, and we’re looking for people who want to help us continue this important tradition while having some fun along the way.

📅 Commitment:
June – August (next 3 months leading up to the event)

⏰ Meetings:
We meet 1–2 times per month for approximately 30–45 minutes to:
✨ Share quick updates
✨ Brainstorm ideas
✨ Problem solve
✨ Assign small tasks

Between meetings, most volunteers simply help by making a few phone calls, sending emails, or helping move projects forward.

✨Important Community Update ✨ Today would normally be New Berlin Day, a tradition we’ve cherished for more than 50 years. Due to the Walnut Street bridge replacement project, New Berlin Day 2025 has been postponed for safety and traffic reasons.

🎉 But don’t worry, this beloved celebration will return stronger than ever for its 53rd installment in 2026 on Saturday, August 22!

✨ In the meantime, you can still celebrate our history this weekend:

📍 The Heritage Association of New Berlin Museum will be open Saturday, August 23, from 10 AM–2 PM.

🍪 Enjoy light refreshments while you explore exhibits of New Berlin’s past.

✨ Plus, the Heritage Association is offering beautiful “Gabriel” castings—gold plated aluminum figures symbolic of New Berlin, for a $45 donation.

✨Important Event Update✨
✨New Berlin Day 2025 postponed✨

New Berlin Day has been a central Pennsylvania tradition for more than 50 years, but this beloved and highly-anticipated celebration will not take place this year.

The event of antique and craft vendors, historical and educational activities, and homecoming gatherings, will return for its 53rd installment on the 4th Saturday of August 2026.

The postponement is due to construction work to replace the Walnut Street bridge in New Berlin, one of 6 bridge replacement projects in Union County this year.

With Walnut Street unavailable for the usual traffic detour on New Berlin Day, the alternative would divert traffic right
through the center of town.

After considerable discussion, the Activities Committee reluctantly
decided to postpone the event due to concerns for safety, as well as the disruption to the traditional character of the day.

"It is unfortunate timing, coming just as we were planning to re-focus the occasion, adding new historical activities and moving more of the events to the center of town" noted Kelly Roush, a member of the New Berlin Activities Committee which runs the event.
