West Performing Arts Center West Performing Arts Center is a premiere state-of-the-art center with a multi-discipline performance auditorium, welcoming lobby and backstage settings.

Performances range from choral, band, and orchestral to musical theatre, theatre and dance. Organizations use the theatre for their business meetings and along with LIFESIZE capabilities, can project to another offsite place. While student groups and others love the movie and video capabilities. Adjacent to the NBW Café, many add a dining component to their event. Available to rent for your next event. Join us as West Community Youth Theatre presents Shrek the Musical Jr, a one-of-a-kind, hilarious fairy tale based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animated film and fantastic Broadway musical.
It’s a “big, bright, beautiful world” as everyone’s favorite ogre leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an adventure to rescue a princess and find true acceptance. Curses are reversed, monsters get the girls, donkeys and dragons find love, and princesses are beautiful in all shapes and sizes. Part romance and part twisted fairy tale, Shrek Jr. is an irreverently fun show with a powerful message for the whole family featuring students from all 6 SDNB schools plus surrounding areas.
