☘ Have you always wanted to try Irish dance as an adult? Now is the perfect time!

Glencastle Irish Dancers is excited to offer an Adult Beginner Class starting in September!

Whether you’ve admired Irish dance from afar, or are simply looking for a fun new way to stay active, we’d love to welcome you to our dance family.

✨ No experience necessary
✨ Great exercise
✨ Learn traditional Irish dance in a fun and supportive environment
✨ Meet new people and try something you’ve always wanted to do

Classes will be held on Wednesdays from 7:15 PM – 8:15 PM at our studio in New Berlin. Start date is Wednesday, September 16.

Tonight was a bittersweet evening at Glencastle as we said “see you soon” to one of our own.

Grace has been part of the Glencastle family since she was a young dancer and, after returning as an adult, she has continued to be a true blessing to our school. Her kindness, caring heart, dedication, support, and positive spirit are qualities that have touched so many within our dance family. She is the kind of person every school hopes to have—a wonderful dancer, friend, and role model.

As Grace and her husband, Ben, begin an exciting new chapter and move on to new adventures, we want her to know how much she will be missed. While it is difficult to imagine our adult class without Grace, we are so grateful for the years, memories, laughter, and friendships we have shared.

We wish Grace and Ben nothing but happiness, success, and countless wonderful experiences in the years ahead.

We love you Grace! 💜💚

☘️ 🎓 Hi, I am Kelsey and I have been dancing at Glencastle for 14 years! I will be graduating from Franklin High School, where I’ve been involved in Yearbook Club, Christian Club, Best Buddies, Eco Club, Peer Mentoring, and having a Youth Apprenticeship as a CNA through Ascension Hospital. I plan to attend Carroll University in the fall, majoring in nursing and minoring in Spanish.

Irish Dance has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember and it’s sad to think about how this chapter is coming to a close. I am very grateful for all the opportunities I have been given during my time at Glencastle. I was able to perform at Milwaukee and La Crosse Irish Fest, dance with bands, and participate in the St. Patrick’s Day parade. I also competed at Oireachtas, Nationals, and Worlds. I’ve been very fortunate to be able to compete as a soloist, been on several ceili teams, and lastly was on the dance drama for my senior year. A memory I will never forget is placing 5th overall at the World Championships and crying tears of happiness. Another favorite memory is dancing at La Crosse Irish Fest with my friends.

Glencastle has taught me to be the best version of myself and I am extremely thankful to have made a second family here after all these years. I couldn’t have done it without the amazing teaching staff. Some lessons Irish Dance taught me is teamwork, perseverance, dedication, and goal setting. Without Glencastle I would not have met my lifelong best friends and made memories that I will remember forever.

☘️ 🎓 Hi, I’m Shannon, and I will be graduating from Wauwatosa East this upcoming June. Throughout my high school career, I have been involved in Best Buddies, Varsity Lacrosse, and an internship with the Children’s Hospital Athletic Training Program. In the fall, I will be attending Carroll University to major in Nursing.

Throughout my Irish dancing career, I have attended many feiseannas, ten Oireachtas competitions, four National Championships, a World Championship, and an All Irelands Championship. I am proud to say that I have come home with some kind of award from all of them. This past February, I had the wonderful opportunity to travel to Ireland and compete for the last time as a soloist. I came home with two medals, and I couldn’t have imagined a better way to end my soloist career. I could not have come this far in my dance career without the support system of the teachers, the families and friends at Glencastle.

Many of my favorite memories came from performing — whether marching in the St. Patrick’s Day parade, taking the stage at Irish Fest, or dancing alongside the Irish bands. With all of these competitions and performances came not only results, but also moments that I will cherish forever. Dancing with Glencastle for the past 15 years has not only taught me how to become a better dancer, but also helped shape me into the person I am today. Glencastle has taught me that hard work, dedication, and perseverance can help you achieve your goals both in dancing and in life. Thank you Glencastle for this journey that I will take with me on this next path.

☘️ 🎓I’m Cece and I have been dancing with Glencastle since I was 5 years old. During my time at Glencastle, I’ve participated in Milwaukee Irish Fest, Feiseanna, Oireachtas, Nationals, and St. Patrick’s day performances. Glencastle has always been my second home and family. Not only have I made friends along the way but I have also been given the opportunity to form special relationships with all of the teachers. I am unable to express how grateful I am to all the teachers at Glencastle for always believing in me and supporting me. I would not have become the dancer I am today without the amazing GID staff. I would also like to thank my parents for supporting me in this journey to get me to where I am today.

I am so excited to take the stage competitively one last time at Nationals this July for solos and with my amazing four hand team. And lastly partake in my final Milwaukee Irish Fest this August.

Although I am starting this new and exciting chapter of my life, I will never forget the memories and friends Glencastle has given. Glencastle, you will be missed! 💚💜🤍
