Southcoast Artists Index Every Artist Has a Story - Start Listening! The Index will also contain information on Legacy Artists from our researchers and our readers.

The Southcoast Artists Index is a website project has three core components; the The Artists Index, a password protected webpage containing their biography, Artist statement, images or other documentation of their work which will be compiled into a growing directory of all Artists. The Legacy Artists are Artists from the area's past. The last component is more journalistic with the In-Focus Profil

es, an online magazine containing articles about the Artists and the cultural and creative community written by our writers and contributing writers. Finally, the In-Focus Podcasts (and eventual video version) offers up close and personal conversations with the makers, performers, supporters and cultural impresarios of this remarkable creative community. In short, our ultimate goal is the documentation of the lives and activities of the individuals, both past and present, who represent the cultural and creative community and, who drive the local creative economy.

Welcome to Episode 2 of The Vault Sessions, the live music series from the Southcoast Artists Index, recorded at The Vault Center for the Performing Arts during Open Mic Night in downtown New Bedford, Massachusetts.

In this episode, we sit down with local musician Indy Blake to talk about music, creativity, influences, songwriting, and what it means to be part of the South Coast's growing creative community. Following the conversation, Indy takes the stage to perform a selection of original songs live at The Vault.

The Vault Sessions is about more than just the music. It's about creating a record of the artists, voices, and stories that make up the South Coast's creative scene—and giving local musicians a platform to share their work with a wider audience.
