The Cinema 169 screening of MUPPET TREASURE ISLAND is back on!
After receiving word last night from the film licensor that the studio had placed a moratorium on screenings meaning we’d have to cancel, we received an update today that screenings already scheduled will be allowed to proceed, so be sure to check out the link in bio to reserve your ticket to the quintessential adaptation of the classic novel by Robert Louis Stevenson!

September 25, doors at 6:30, screening at 7. Reservations recommended, donations suggested, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Calling all artists!

Only a few days left to submit your visual artwork inspired by music, poetry, or literature… deadline to submit is Sunday, August 30. This exhibition is open to all artists, working in any media or style, you do not need to be a member of Gallery X to submit! Submissions are $15 per piece. Former longtime member of Gallery X, Cotting White passed away July 30 in North Carolina. Cotting was a ceramicist and painter who exhibited regularly with Gallery X throughout the 90s and early 00s. Her daughters shared that Cotting often spoke about Gallery X and the community that she found with us.

While she moved away a number of years ago, Cotting found ways to support Gallery X into the 2020s, exhibiting and donating the 2 paintings pictured here in support of our biennial Amazing Art Raffle fundraiser in 2021.

A celebration of life will be held September 13 at Tanglewood Park in Clemmons, North Carolina.
