Hatch Street Studios

Hatch Street Studios Hatch Street Studios is a community of artists, artisans and designers working in a renovated textile

Hatch Street Studios is located in a four-story brick building in New Bedford’s historic North End. With a history as part of one of the most productive mill complexes in the region, the property was purchased in 1995 by the owner of a cryogenics company, who rented out the top two floors to small creative ventures. In time, visual artists began moving in and setting up their studios. The building

was purchased in 2015 by area businessman Jeff Glassman, who has continued to welcome artists and restore the premises. The rooms at 88-90 Hatch Street currently serve as working spaces for more than 60 artists who use a wide variety of media including painting, drawing, fine furniture, jewelry, fiber art, clothing design, sculpture, and antiques restoration.

What would it feel like to have a creative space that’s truly your own? ✨

A place where you can leave your work out overnight.
Where you don’t have to clear the dining room table before dinner.
Where your supplies aren’t tucked into closets, stacked in corners, or taking over the spare bedroom.

A place to create without interruption.
To spread out.
To experiment.
To dream bigger.

The first photo shows an available studio at Hatch Street Studios.

The next photos show the possibilities.

Because that’s what a studio really is — possibility.

Whether you’re currently creating from a basement, garage, guest room, or kitchen table, imagine what could happen with a dedicated space of your own, surrounded by a vibrant community of artists and makers.

Sometimes the next step in your creative journey is simply giving yourself room to grow. ✨
