This video is about 5 years old.
I was pushing 40 and was starting to ask myself if I really thought I was doing my best in life.
I uploaded this to my personal Facebook because I was irritated that my boss was having a talk with me about being comfortable when my whole life was uncomfortable.
It dawned on me that I didn’t make a single decision for myself throughout the day not even when I got to eat.
I’m not a morning person. I don’t like getting up early. I do not care for working in hot weather. I don’t like being yelled at. I don’t like being talked down to. I don’t like not being appreciated or valued. I didn’t like getting hurt all the time and I didn’t like working that hard for $25 an hour.
All I had to do to better my life was admit that I wasn’t happy and knew I could do better. It’s not easy especially around 40 years old to look at yourself and go “dude you fu**ed everything up this far, this was not the plan.”
What held me back was I felt guilty about making money doing something that I loved and I didn’t know how to be humble when I didn’t feel guilty. I let my career fall apart and had to build houses. I had to rebuild my tattoo career from the bottom again.
I’m no life coach but if you want things to get better for yourself, you have to take an honest look at the things that you don’t like about yourself and about your life and start taking steps to eliminate those things. Same actions yield same results time and time again.
The only luck involved in my story is when I opened the doors, you all came. But everything before that I had to work for I had to do it myself in spite of doubt, in spite of people not believing in it.

The great thing about tenacity is it doesn’t cost anything and you can absolutely choose to have it if you want it.
You get from life what you put into it, I am 100% living proof.
