A great tribute concert isn’t about imitation—it’s about recreating the feeling that made the music matter in the first place. Reviewer Tony Peters of IconFetch.com gave EVIL WOMAN: The American ELO an A+ and called the group one of the best tribute bands he had seen. On Oct. 23, hear for yourself as THE ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA EXPERIENCE fills the Ogle Center’s Stem Concert Hall with more than 20 ELO favorites.

What makes ELO sound like ELO? It’s the collision of classic rock and orchestral color. THE ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA EXPERIENCE uses a full 12-piece ensemble with violins, viola, cello, electric guitars, keyboards and vocals to recreate those layered arrangements live. Add custom video content for each song and this is much more than a tribute set—it’s a full concert production. See it Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the Ogle Center.

October is National Arts and Humanities Month — a good excuse to celebrate all the ways people make, experience and share culture.

At the Ogle Center, that can mean a touring concert in Stem Concert Hall, an IU Southeast Theatre production in Robinson Theater, a student recital, a Louisville Orchestra performance, or time spent with visual art in the Barr gallery and lobby.

There isn't one right way into the arts. What's yours: live music, theatre, visual art — or all of the above?
