Today brings the closing of Monty Python’s Spamalot and we want to celebrate the hard work of the amazing cast and crew! Thank you for sharing your talents with us and for making our last show at the New Albany Performing Arts Center such a special, joy-filled production. As always, we commemorate this closing with an illustration by the remarkable Brian Marshall. We’ll be sharing a full retrospective of our work from 2017-2023 through the lens of Brian’s illustrations in a separate post!
From Brian: Spamalot
On the day of the last performance of each play, TheaterWorks posts a thank you to the cast and crew for all their hard work. I have been honored that they have included my illustration of the cast each time. When I saw the first show I knew I wanted to be part of this organization somehow. I had been experimenting with this idea of peg people somewhat inspired by the Fisher Price toys. This seemed like the perfect fit. Completely unsolicited, I created an illustration back in 2017 and sent it to them and they liked it.
