WOW. Indiana State 2026 is in the books, and our bodies still haven't forgiven us...worth It.
🏆Congrats to our champions: Chad Cockrell, High Overall at 182; Marcus Hershberger, Runner Up at 179; Benton Frisse, Resident High Overall at 175. Lola Hollis - Resident Lady Champion & Resident Sub Junior Champion, Resident Junior Champ Wyatt Biddle (I need a pic of him!) and every class champion — wear that hardware proud. If I need to attach a full list of winners please comment and I'll try.
🚨Now, the thanks and reason this weekend held together:
The Farm Team — Marty, Fynn, Jason, Brook, and Alex — worked harder than usual to say the least! Early mornings and late late nights killing it!
Joe Scull & Brandon Powell set seriously fun with a slight evil-tinge targets (just how The Farm likes it). Shotgun Gear (Syrus, Howard, Marty, Aaron, crew) set and ran the sides courses like the pros they are. Danielle w/ScoreChaser ran registration like it was easy — it's not, she's a wizard and her hair was always gorg. Break Point Clay Target Sports (Ethan, fam, especially Macy) killed it on course crew and setup. JR setup Ears by Courtney's booth, then stayed to help, no fanfare...pure good dude. Dave Kitchens brings THE best toys in the business whenever we need him. Jason Likens of Likens Shooting Academy worked like a dog all weekend and didn't get fired ONCE and also let us borrow his sweet wife as a trapper!
ALLLLLL the trappers — 95% had never trapped before, trained ONCE, pulled it off without a hitch. The "Georgia Boys," Henry and his crew of 11, ran it like pros. Joe Olin trained and organized the trappers along with his better 1/2 Sara. The Schindlers fed every trapper, every day...pickle and cookie in all. Ish and friends kept coolers and ice stocked, handled a hundred things nobody notices till missing, and let Brook bark orders at them all week.
Rick Webb and crew built every new fancy station...they're amazing. With sponsors Ware, ISCO, Mamco, Brockman Bluetick Kennels, Shotgun Gear, Rhino, Hunter Webb Outdoors, Powell Performance, Ky Glass and Mirror, Martin's Autobody, Rudder Electric, Carriage Ford, and Mise En Place Catering. Rural 1st sponsored the woods course and made it possible to expand into a FULL course around the entire Eagle Lake.
Thanks to Lloyd Friend, our tournament photographer, for never missing a beat or shot...we don't know how he does it!!!
To the volunteers who worked months before anyone showed up — Scotty Hollis, Tom and Ethan Thompson, Dave Kitchen, Marty Schindler Sr, Tim Dearing, and Joe Crea — chainsawing, mowing, building, fixing the gate (again), mowing and more mowing. Nobody saw most of it. We did. It mattered. It takes a village. If we forgot you, we still love you. Please comment if we've forgotten to give a shoutout. Its not intentional just lack of sleep.
Working with the ISCA was a pleasure!!! Andy, Scott, Bryan, etc etc etc all of them - so organized and with it!!! We wanted this State successful, but more than anything fun. This life is short and should be FUN!!!! Exhausting...but fun. Thanks to everyone.
