We hate to see this for the American Cutting Horse Association and everyone involved with their events.

The livestock event industry is facing some very real challenges right now. Cattle prices are at historic levels, availability can be difficult in some areas, and the costs associated with putting on quality live-cattle events continue to affect producers and associations across multiple western disciplines.

We also recognize that for some ranching families, this goes far beyond market prices. Wildfires and other disasters have taken cattle, grazing land, infrastructure and livelihoods from producers in different parts of the country. Our thoughts are with those families who have experienced those losses and are still working to recover.

As a breakaway roping association built around live-cattle competition, we can certainly relate. What happens in the cattle industry eventually finds its way into the arena.

Stock availability, cattle costs, arena expenses and the overall cost of producing an event ultimately affect everyone — from the producer putting it on to the competitor backing into the box.

Different disciplines may feel those pressures in different ways, but we're all part of the same western and livestock community.

We wish the American Cutting Horse Association, its members and its producers the very best as they work toward their 2027 season.

At NBRA, we're incredibly thankful for the producers, stock contractors, district directors and members who continue making our events possible — and for industry partners like Durango Boot and Rockin' King Customs who have chosen to invest in the future of breakaway roping alongside us.

The western industry is stronger when we support one another.

🤝 PROUD PARTNERS!

The National Breakaway Roping Association is excited to officially welcome Rockin’ King Customs as a National Partner of the NBRA!

Rockin’ King Customs will be working alongside the NBRA to create custom awards for our competitors while also providing preferred partner pricing and opportunities for our districts across the country.

What impressed us most about Kristen and the Rockin’ King team wasn’t just what they make—it was their willingness to believe in what the NBRA is building and put real support behind it.

We want our members, competitors, families and districts to take note of the companies that are stepping up and investing in YOU as we build this association.

These are the companies believing in the NBRA early. These are the companies putting their money where their mouth is. And when you have the opportunity, we encourage you to remember the businesses that are helping create more opportunities for breakaway ropers across the country.

We’re excited about what’s ahead and can’t wait for our members to start seeing some of the custom NBRA pieces Rockin’ King Customs is already working on.

Check out their website.
