Tonight is round 1 of the Missouri High School Rodeo Finals at the Lucky J Steakhouse & Arena in Carthage MO…We’ll crown the champions and see who will represent the “Show Me State,” at the National HS Finals this summer…This one is special for us cause our baby girl makes her last appearance…she’s worked SO HARD this year and Mama and B are so proud of you!!!

I’ve tried to make this post about a dozen times and every time I try, my eyes start leakin…

Tess, I am so damn proud of you!! And I know Mama is too… I know at times I’m hard on you but it’s because I see so much potential in you…Your dedication, determination and commitment to anyone you love and your horses is unbelievable!!! I’ve done some very cool things in my life, but to be there yesterday as YOUR “B” when you walked across that stage and graduated was one of the proudest moments of my life…the sky is the only limit for you!!

In the grand scheme of things, I’m not sure I feel more violated by the price of a gallon of diesel or the cost of a refill in my coffee cup…I mean I just dropped $250 for fuel, you’d think a cup of coffee could be included in the in the “violation,” I just endured…😆 Have a good day everybody!!!

My world in one picture…even though we might get under each other’s skin for one reason or another, like wearin my boots in the house or having to use a specific bucket for a certain horses feed, these girls are my everything!!! They’re my comfort, they’re my peace, they’re my rock and I love em more than all the birds in the sky!!!

Happy Birthday to The Original Bandit!!!! The founding father of The One Arm Bandit & Company, and in my opinion, one of the greatest showmen the rodeo industry has ever known…I’ve had the pleasure of sharing the arena with this man a few times in my career and it’s always been a blast!!! Yesterday was a big day for my gals and I…Sis got to walk across the stage at the Mizzou Arena and receive her State FFA Degree during the 98th Missouri FFA Convention …I am so proud of her and all of the accomplishments that she’s achieved with her horses…she was also the Area 7 Equine Entrepreneurship Winner …it’s pretty cool to me that 29 years ago, I walked across the stage across the street at the Hearnes Center to get my State Degree and preform in FFA Talent…
