This piece of work took 3 months to complete; in my spare time away from my 40+hour/week job! This piece required repairs; fill-in fixes; deep gouge scratches in the top; corners missing and the nightmare of working with flat black! This piece is also odd for a home. I believe it was once a magnificent part of an executive office collection. The 3 large drawers were actually file drawers. The one large door was probably storage for office supplies. The top drawers I can imagine held important documents or “top-drawer” priority classified documents. So I decided on a masculine flat black with a wax sheen; just ever so slightly softened by gold accents and birds. Can you imagine it? Stay tuned for the final completed black & gold office console! console black furniture updo & gold file cabinet
