The Ute Stampede Rodeo family mourns the loss of Bob Day—a devoted friend, volunteer, mentor, and lifelong champion of rodeo and western tradition.

Bob served his community generously as a 4-H advisor, high school rodeo advisor for more than 30 years, member of the Nephi Nebo Posse Riding Club for over 50 years, and a valued member of the Ute Stampede Committee for more than 25 years.

He especially loved caring for the cowboys, often rising early to cook and serve breakfast. To Bob, rodeo, horses, cowboys, and the West were more than passions—they were a way of life.

Our heartfelt condolences are with Bob’s family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Graveside services will be held Monday, August 31, at 10:30 a.m. at Vine Bluff Cemetery in Nephi. The family invites you to bring a chair and share a memory of Bob during an open mic.

HONORING THE DEFENDING CHAMPIONS:

The fastest horses in rodeo made their way to Utah's Own PRCA Rodeo, and McKenna Coronado was one of the fastest. She shared the victory with Caitlyn White. Coronado was also the winner in 2024. Can she win the title for the third time?

Calling all young buckeroos:

Do you want to be part of our rodeo? This is your chance. Mutton bustin' signups are under way at utahstatefair.com/rodeo. For the parents of the eager little ones, this is your chance to get your kiddo in the action and fun of Utah's Own PRCA Rodeo.

- One entry per child. Child may only compete at one performance.
- Helmets are required (bring your own, or we can provide one)
- Child must be at least 4 years of age and weigh 50 lbs or less (they will be weighed at check-in)
- Ropes are not allowed.
- Spurs are not allowed.
- One helper per child will be allowed access to the chute area.
- 10 riders and two alternates will be drawn for each performance.

It's just part of the fun at the Utah State Fair.
