There is something magical about a good rodeo on a summer evening to bring family entertainment, good food and wholesome fun to a community.

We are excited to announce the 14th Annual Crowder College Roughrider Scholarship Rodeo will take place August 14 & 15 in Neosho. This event has brought family entertainment to our community for the last 13 years with an IPRA/ACRA sanctioned rodeo. Last year, the rodeo boasted record attendance for both nights with a standing room only arena.

The funds raised at the event and your generous support provide scholarship to agriculture students at Crowder College. Opportunities to attend travel seminars including a trip to Costa Rica this past January provide educational experiences of a lifetime for many students. The students work all aspects of the rodeo outside of the area to make this event one families look forward to each year.

🌾 Big News from the Ag Department! 🌾

The Agriculture Department at Crowder College is excited to announce the newest member of our team — our new Agronomy Instructor!

Ben Fizette will be joining the Crowder Aggies starting in July! Ben will be helping our students grow their knowledge in crop production, soil science, greenhouse management, feeds and nutrition and more!

Ben has been an area FFA advisor at Greenfield and Sarcoxie for 6 years and is bringing 20 years of "real world" agronomy experience to the classroom. His connections with our community stakeholders like the Cattlemen's Association, Farm Bureau and FFA advisors will be very valuable to our department. His passion for agriculture and commitment to student success will help cultivate the next generation of ag leaders. Ben is also a product of a community college education and understands the value of starting your academic career at a community college. His community college teachers had a big impact of his life and Ben wants to have that relationship and impact his Crowder Aggie students.

At Crowder, we believe the future of agriculture starts in the classroom and the field, and we’re excited to see the impact Ben will have on our students and our community.

Very excited to announce our TITLE SPONSOR for the 14th Annual Roughrider Scholarship Rodeo will once again be the Wyandotte Nation and Riverbend Casino in Oklahoma.
We are excited to share some new plans and dreams in the coming months, but happy and very thankful to have them on board and share our purpose and passion of supporting students on their educational path. The Tribal Board has been great to work with and we appreciate their continued support.
