From personal experience, I know that many people do not fully understand the unique circumstances involved with military life. I have tailored "United We DANCE" to fit the military child, their family and OUR lifestyle to the best of my ability, while maintaining the highest level of commitment and professionalism, from every class to each recital!! For 3 years (2002-2005) we were stationed in Ok
inawa, Japan, where I taught 20+ classes per week at the Kadena Youth Center and coordinated three annual recitals for more than 250 students each year. Our next adventure brought us to Tucson, AZ where I independently developed "United We DANCE" Recreational Youth Dance Program at the Davis Monthan Community Center! Through the 5 years that we spent at D-M (2005-2010), I held 8 wonderful recitals with approx 100 dancers each session! Our Air Force journey now continues here in Las Vegas (2010 to present), at Nellis Air Force Base. I am extremely honored to be given the opportunity to share my commitment, knowledge and love of dance with a new group of students! During the 2010/2011 school year, I also had the opportunity to pursue a new venue of teaching! I created an after-school dance program at Silver Sands Montessori Charter School! The students have the opportunity to perform for their family, friends and teachers at the school's Winter Festival in Dec and the Spring Carnival in May and are always a big hit! It was a great learning experience for me! Now into our 6th year, I am looking forward to many more exciting performances at Silver Sands!!! I graduated from the University of Florida (Go Gators!!) in 2001 earning a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and minors in Economics and Dance, only to realize that I do not belong in the business world since my heart truly belongs to dance! I am convinced that I have the BEST and most rewarding job in the world! Every week I am inspired by my dancers’ energy and excitement for learning and performing and I love sharing my passion for dance with all of my students! I am so grateful to all of the parents who allow me the opportunity of sharing this dance experience with your children...it truly is an honor! THANK YOU!! And no matter where you go from here, I hope that I have been able to instill a love for dance into them and that no matter what (or where) they all KEEP ON DANCIN'!!!
