Almost looks like Algeria, alas it’s a big pile of sand in the good ol US of A. Still amazes me to see how vastly our landscapes change from State to State.

I captured this on my way through the desert the other day. What a great way to say goodbye to the desert for the year as I make my way to the PNW.

Meet the newest 14 hr old baby wild horse!

We came across the Salt River Wild Horse Management Group on a random walk and we spotted this c**t. How insanely lucky to be at the right place at the right time to capture this baby’s very first day of life on our Earth.

The volunteers were following the c**t all day making sure the other horses didn’t hurt or trample the baby. They also asked me not to post for 2 weeks to not draw unnecessary attention to the herd.

Im happy to report (2 weeks later) that he is doing great and just celebrated his 14 day birthday! 🎂

Here’s a poem I wrote for this set…

“With new life we find purpose.
Nurturing finds love.
It’s the first sprout of innocence.
By the spring showers above.

Our loneliness gets misguided.
Our love flows like wind.
The truth IS our purpose.
Our legacy grows with our kin.”
