Gorse Mill Studios A community of active, producing artists in a variety of media. Several artists offer a variety of classes.

The Gorse Mill Studios is a former textile mill, built in 1893, that was reborn in 2009 as artists’ studios and the Gorse Mill Gallery. Among the building’s artists are potters, sculptors, glass blowers, painters, mosaic artists, silk painters and fiber artists, jewelers, photographers, authors, illustrators, stained-glass artists, graphic designers, mixed-media artists, and a storyteller. This Saturday July 11th from 3-5 is the opening reception for John Lechner's exhibit of puppets at the Gorse Mill Gallery. The exhibit features all kinds of puppets designed by John over the years. He will demonstrate many of the puppets and do a little performance at 3:30 during the reception. Fun for all ages! Located at 31 Thorpe Road, Needham, MA.

Don’t forget that NOS is a great place to find handcrafted, one-of-a-kind, locally made treasures that make fantastic gifts for Mothers Day, graduations, spring weddings and anniversaries, birthdays – or a treat for yourself.
