"OLAUG—Old Ladies Against Underwater Garbage—search and remove underwater garbage in Cape Cod. And they have a lot of fun doing it. Why the very specific and straightforward name?
There are a few requirements to join the club. You must be able to swim a half a mile in under 30 minutes, be at least 64 years old, and be able to free dive at least eight feet. That, and a desire to clean up Cape Cod waters, and you’re in. After a day’s work, they’re paid in cookies and hot chocolate by 84-year-old founder, Susan Baur." - via The Female Quotient
