NatickImprov NatickImprov was a group for Improv enthusiasts with members throughout Massachusetts & New England They returned to in-person workshops 18 months later.

NatickImprov was a group of improv enthusiasts operating out of the Boston Metrowest area. NatickImprov was established in 2009 to help bring the education and performance of improvisational comedy to Central Massachusetts and Greater Boston. Each workshop was run by a member of the NatickImprov organization and focused on different aspects of improvisational instruction and performance. In 2010,

NatickImprov cast the performance troupe "Penguin Apocalypse,” which put on shows throughout New England. In 2020, when the world shut down less than a week after their March workshop, NatickImprov pivoted to virtual workshops to provide a connection for their members during an unprecedented time. In early 2024, due to personal commitments, professional obligations, health issues, life milestones, and other factors, the difficult decision was made to close down NatickImprov. To everyone who was a part of this community, thank you for 15 years of “yes, and.”

TO OUR NATICKIMPROV FAMILY. Happy 2024!!! First off, we love you all. Secondly, with a heavy heart we announce that after almost 15 years of countless laughter, sheer joy, goofy pratfalls, witty wordplay and absolute amusement that we are closing the doors on our NatickImprov comedy shop 😥 Please know this was a very difficult decision to make, and one not made lightly, but family commitments, life milestones, personal loss, health issues, hectic schedules and more have all bubbled to a head and the best course of action is to silly walk away into the sunset. To everyone who has been a part of our story, the devoted workshop regulars, the diehard Penguin Apocalypse troupe fans, the curious first time attendees and the lovely audiences that came out to see us in action, we sincerely THANK YOU. We never could have imagined during our early days back in 2009, meeting up at a small yoga studio, the lifelong friendships and improv community that we would build together over the years. We have been so proud to witness how many of you grew and developed, not only with your improv skills, but also in increasing your self-confidence, thinking quicker on your feet, supporting one another and helping to inject some much needed laughter into our lives. Yet now is the time to pass the torch along for others to hopefully take the (red) ball and run with it. Will we always hold you in a special place in our hearts? YES, and….

Thanks to all you hula hoop champions (10 years running) who attended our Oddball October workshop!!! It was a very therapeutic evening of shark fencing, Dunkin Donut role plays and long-winded stories about Lincoln Logs. We even faced our fears of cotton candy! It was more fun than riding a spinning toilet in Pittsburgh!! 🦈☕️🍭😵‍💫🚽

Thanks to all you Magical Crocodiles that joined for last night’s workshop!! We avoided the rain by preparing some Hallway Meals, hiding from the NASA Cops and sporting our Watermelon Underoos! Thanks to all you Wookie rappers that engaged in some “kaleidoscopic comedy” with us at last night’s workshop!!! Whether you rhyme with hog or not, we sure had a fantastic evening of trips to Erector Set World, trying some of Pappy’s Chocolate Chip Ice Cream and searching for our coal mine Alligators! We may not all agree on whether we should eat pill bugs but we all can certainly say that NORTH ALASKA IS COLD.
