We are deeply saddened to hear that Bridget Cook, well known lacemaker, designer, teacher and internationally renowned author since the 1970s, has died. In partnership with Geraldine Stott, Bridget was instrumental through her research and publication work in making our craft widely accessible. Bridget had been unwell for some time and moved to a Nursing home to be cared for. Sadly her stay in new surroundings was brief. It was her wish that there be no Funeral or Memorial Service.

Registration is now open for the annual Finger Lakes Lace Guild lace day. Deadline is July 30.

Teachers are Sasha Baskin, Louise Colgan, Holly Van Sciver, Kathy Kauffmann, Carolyn Wetzel, Shirley Egan (beginning bobbin lace).

The New England Lace Group will be demonstrating lacemaking at the Glebe House Museum (https://www.glebehousemuseum.org/) in Woodbury, CT on Saturday from noon until 4pm.

We'll also be at Dudley Farm Museum (https://dudleyfarm.com/) in Guilford, CT from 9:30 to 12:30.

Members of the New England Lace Group will be at the CT New England Sheep and Wool Growers Association festival in North Haven, CT on Saturday, April 25. We'll be in Barn #9. Come and see how handmade lace is made and have a go yourself!
