I have been playing with hand-printed images for several days, using them as a base for designs and seamless patterns. Very interesting and not a super easy process - similar to puzzle games with shapes and colors. Also - very calming and grounding. I have been adding new designs to my Redbubble and Society6 shops. The boat hasn't traveled far when the horrible storm began...

One of the fun things about patterns and surface design in general is that you can change the colors pretty easily, and then with the help of the platform like explore how it will look like on different household and clothing items.

This exploration is very entertaining to me. May that be because my grandmother was a fabric designer? I don't know much about her professional life. But when I explore patterns it feels a bit like saying hello to her (she left us a while ago).

The story of Prophet Jonah 🕊️, the Fish and such...

This is a personal project, inspired by Anna Arenstein and by my random interest on "what exactly happened with Jonah and the Fish"?

I am in the middle of illustrating Jonah's adventure. I will start publishing it here. This will (or will not) create a magical push for me to finish :))

So - let's start: God said to Jonah to go (to preach) to Nineveh, the city submerged in sin and wickedness. Jonah didn't want to go and disobeyed. He wanted to go to Tarshish instead (there is a map on the second image - it's not VERY accurate. The direction to the left is to Tarshish, to the right - to Nineveh).

I like how this winter owl came out. Let us all be calm and smart as she is, soaring into this new year. It might seem cold, but still so beautiful!

It probably seems strange to some people - but I love walking my dog on cold nights. It's dark, chilly but gorgeous. The air bitterness clears your mind, somehow it's difficult to think much about bad things when you breath in winter air. If you are extremely lucky - you might spot an owl! And - there is a prospect of hot cup of tea and a blanket at home, when you return 🔥🔥🔥

What warms you and your spirits on such cold winter nights?

Unity Quilt - a community art project which took place under my lead during the first ever Juneteenth Celebration in Natick, MA. The people who participated in the project were totally amazing and I was happy to sew their work together afterwards! The project was sponsored by Natick Center Cultural District - an awesome organization which makes Natick a wonderful place!

It took me two months to sit down and make this video :)) But here it is finally! Enjoy!
