"Life. She is full of trouble."
We're wrapping up our character highlight week for our upcoming production of Rope by Patrick Hamilton. Stay tuned for more posts from us leading up to the show!
Anna Springer is Sabot, Brandon and Granillo's butler, whose alertness and quiet ambition make him the perfect servant.
See Anna in Rope June 5th-14th! Tickets available at tcan.org/rope

Sabot: Servant to No Master
Sabot is the perfect butler: alert, intelligent, and obedient, if a bit impersonal. He manages to run a tight ship while staying out of sight. This one-man operation has to be in many places at once, always rushing between this, that, and the other. Keeping busy and keeping things tidy, Sabot might forget what day it is, but he never forgets to be amenable to any request, no matter how unusual.

"I cannot quite ascertain Mrs. Debenham's opinion."
This week, we're highlighting our cast for our upcoming production of Rope by Patrick Hamilton.
Cathy Merlo is Mrs. Debenham, Sir Johnstone Kentley's sister, and a woman of few words and fewer opinions.
See Cathy in Rope June 5th-14th! Tickets available at tcan.org/rope

Mrs. Debenham: Silent or Silenced?
Mrs. Debenham is the sister of Sir Johnstone and the aunt of Ronald Kentley, though she wouldn’t tell you as much. In fact, she won’t tell you much of anything, although she doesn’t seem to have much to hide. She mostly keeps to herself; you may elicit a curt answer or a smirk in response to any question you pose her. Every party needs a good listener, I suppose.

"Ronald hasn't come back..."
This week, we're highlighting our cast for our upcoming production of Rope by Patrick Hamilton.
Al DiVenuti is Sir Johnstone Kentley, a bookworm and a father unknowingly attending a dinner party hosted by his son's killers.
See Al in Rope June 5th-14th! Tickets available at tcan.org/rope

Johnstone Kentley: Nothing Like Father's Intuition
Sir Johnstone Kentley can be an intimidating guest at any dinner party, but he is a family man through and through. Sir Johnstone is a book connoisseur and collector. He is fiercely supportive of his son and heir, Ronald Kentley, though he cannot understand why Ronald spends so much time at the Coliseum.

"He's got his murdered man in here!"
This week, we’re highlighting our cast for our upcoming production of Rope by Patrick Hamilton.
Jessie Shaw is Leila Arden, a sophisticated young woman with a sunny disposition and a personality bubblier than champagne.
See Jessie in Rope June 5th-14th! Tickets available at tcan.org/rope

Leila Arden: Innocent or Ingenious?
My dear! Leila Arden brings a sunny disposition to this dismal, rainy night. Her liveliness does not diminish when the conversation veers towards death. In fact, she was the one to excitedly tell me that Brandon stuffed a dead man in that very chest, my dear! Leila’s vivacity may be mistaken for naivety, but she has a good head on her shoulders, and her jokes are dead on.

“I’ll be your strong man.”
This week, we’re highlighting our cast for our upcoming production of Rope by Patrick Hamilton.
Kaven Matyczynski is Kenneth Raglan, a university student who looks up to Brandon and the “perfect specimen of ordinary humanity”.
See Kaven in Rope June 5th-14th! Tickets available at tcan.org/rope

Kenneth Raglan: Simple Yet Sociable
Kenneth Raglan can certainly bring the life to the party, as long as you tell him where to find it. A lesser journalist would say that Raglan is hopeless, but I would say that there is hope in him yet. He may not be book smart, but he has quite strong opinions on film, and his dynamic with one Leila Arden is a sight to behold. Will Raglan have the sense to woo Miss Arden?

“How fearfully interested in crime we all seem tonight.”
We’re highlighting our cast for our upcoming production of Rope by Patrick Hamilton.
Liv Tambascio is Professor Rupert, a poet with a passion for the macabre and a sarcastic remark for every occasion.
See Liv in Rope June 5th-14th! Tickets available at tcan.org/rope

Professor Rupert: Poet or Private Eye?
Professor Rupert is a brilliant poet, though you wouldn’t know it just by looking at her. Her eye for detail would make her an equally brilliant detective, though her sarcastic affect and her... artistic view of death might hinder her chances at solving crime. Nevertheless, Rupert is quite the conversationalist if you’re comfortable with waxing poetic about murder and war.

“Do you think we’ll get away with it?”
This week, we’re highlighting our cast for our upcoming production of Rope by Patrick Hamilton.
Next up: James Stergios is Charles Granillo, Brandon’s unwilling co-conspirator/cohost.
See James in Rope June 5th-14th! Tickets available at tcan.org/rope (link in bio)

Charles Granillo: Drinking to Forget
Charles Granillo sure knows how to have a good time. A courteous cohost in his own right, although he has been seen flitting between vices all night. Are the drinks in celebration, or is Granno trying to drown something out? Whatever his secret is, it might have something to do with a disappearing ticket to the Coliseum. I would surely enjoy such a ticket; I love a good show.

“An immaculate murder”
TCAN is proud to introduce our cast for our upcoming production of Rope by Patrick Hamilton. Stay tuned for more posts highlighting our wonderful actors (and their characters) throughout the week!
First up: Eric Cheung is Wyndham Brandon, the confident and calculating cohost/culprit of the evening’s dinner party.
See Eric in Rope June 5th-14th! Tickets available at tcan.org/rope (link in bio)

Wyndham Brandon: The host with the most... to hide?
What can be said about Wyndham Brandon that he hasn’t already told you? Our cohost for this evening’s party has more than a skeleton in his closet; he has a dead body under the dinner spread! Why else would we be eating off a conspicuously locked chest? And will Brandon be able to keep this secret under lock and key all evening?
