We’re two weeks away from welcoming Team Deb for an engaging discussion of their script, recent awards(!), ways our community can support the filmmakers and sharing a snippet of footage from The Debutante’s Gown short film. Followed by a Q&A with the writer-director, Ashley Heathcock.

The event will be moderated by the one and only, Ritchie Montgomery, Natchez’s very own celebrity actor. Complementary wine will be available. Hope to see you there!

Bye bye, Bella! Don’t be a stranger!

Our sweet Bella had her last day with us yesterday! 🥹💗

We are so incredibly thankful for Bella and everything she has done, not only for our stores, but for each and every one of our clients. She has been such a special part of the Mile 363 & RiseNShine family, and we are going to miss having her with us every day!

Luckily, we have a feeling you’ll still catch her around here on a few Saturdays. 😉 We love you, Bella, and we are so excited to see what’s next for you!

Look here, Robin! A downtown revitalization LEGO game! Outsidein MS, LLC if you know you know!

City-building games have a way of making neighborhood logic feel obvious.

If you put all the houses in one place, all the jobs somewhere else, and every amenity in its own separate district, people spend too much time getting around and the city starts to struggle.

A neighborhood works better when needs are close enough to fit into daily life: a shop near homes, a park within walking distance, a small business someone can stop at without turning every errand into a separate trip.

But those places also need enough neighbors nearby to support them. Duplexes, fourplexes, ADUs, and small apartment buildings add homes within walking distance, helping local businesses, parks, and services reach more people.

These ideas have policy names like mixed use, incremental development, and value per acre, but they’re easier to understand when you can actually see how the pieces fit together.

Sometimes the lessons that make a pretend city work are the same ones missing from the real places we’re trying to fix.
