“Satellite Heart”

This was a fun commission. I was tasked to create a sister to another piece of mine that this collector purchased (in the comments).

The original, “Starman” was a piece dedicated to David Bowie and his inner confidence and softness - the idea that he knew who he was and stood firmly in that knowledge. It was about the inner peace that comes with understanding who you are.

This piece is more of a response to the first.
“Satellite Heart” captures the moment the signal is received—where quiet confidence transforms into movement, emotion, and the wild, electric experience of becoming.

The feeling of, I finally don’t care what others think of my voice, my expression, my quirks, my “weirdness”.

It’s been such a pleasure to paint these two and I find it extra beautiful that they’ll be displayed together in their new home!

Tikkun Olam, 24x24 Oil on Canvas | Original Painting

There’s a Jewish idea called Tikkun Olam — the work of repairing the world.

This painting came from sitting with that question: How do we keep choosing beauty, protection, and healing in a world that often feels fractured?

The wolf represents the quiet guardians among us — the ones who watch, protect, and stay loyal to what is good. The woman sits in the emotion of it all, the birth of something good pouring from her, but yet the weight of a fractured world, and the hope that she gives from her heart.

Repairing the world doesn’t begin with fixing everything. It begins with remembering who we are and choosing care anyway.

This is an original 24x24 oil painting and is currently available.

For my Jewish friends -

As of now, the Knesset advanced legislation that would transfer authority over all prayer at the Kotel to the ultra-Orthodox Chief Rabbinate, criminalize religious services that do not conform to its standards, and effectively dismantle the Egalitarian Kotel.

Please consider signing this petition and sharing with those you know!

I ______________ strongly oppose MK Avi Maoz and MK Yariv Levin’s extreme legislation to delegitimize Conservative and Reform Jews and drive us away from the Kotel by threatening us with prison time for praying according to our custom at the Egalitarian Kotel.

Tikkun Olam is a Jewish concept of Repairing the World. Each of us has a purpose here on earth to leave it better than when we found it, whether it’s helping your neighbor, nature, etc.. any Mitzvot (good deeds) can create ripple effects into the world that start to make it better for everyone.

This painting represents that idea - by our love and nurturing compassion, with the assistance of Hashem, G-d, we can create goodness even out of chaos and hard emotions. That giving our hearts to the world can create beauty and harmony that we are unaware of and at times cannot see.
