💛 FEEL GOOD FRIDAY 💛

We've seen Dolan take the stage in Old Town and under the fireworks at Chisenhall Fields. This week, he stepped onto a slightly different stage: the Grand Ole Opry.

The local singer-songwriter, formerly known around town as The Dolan Band, was named Vocalist of the Year at the 2026 Josie Music Awards, which recognize independent artists and songwriters. More than 101,000 submissions were considered for this year's awards, and Dolan accepted his honor while standing in the famous circle on the Grand Ole Opry stage.

For Burleson, there's a little history behind that moment. The Dolan Band opened the City's Hot Sounds of Summer concert series in Old Town back in 2018, and over the years, Dolan has returned to City stages for some of Burleson's biggest celebrations. He headlined the City's July 4 concert in 2021, was featured as one of “Burleson's Own” artists at Hot Sounds of Summer in 2022 and performed as part of the Burleson Best lineup at Red, White & BTX in 2023.

And Burleson didn't have to go back very far to see him. Dolan returned to Chisenhall Fields in 2025 to headline Red, White & BTX, performing for the hometown crowd before the City's annual fireworks show.

From Old Town Burleson to the circle at the Grand Ole Opry, congratulations, Dolan. We're glad we got to hear you along the way.
