New Hope Guitar Traders

New Hope Guitar Traders New Hope Guitar Traders has been in business since 1992. This is a one person operation and I buy, sell, and trade guitars.

I specialize in Guild guitars (I am known as "the Guild Guy"), but deal in a wide variety of makes and models. I am a musician and try to offer guitars that do their job well--they will make music. I am also an open back banjo player and will sometimes have some banjos for sale.

While New Hope Guitar Traders has come and gone, our new business, Maritimes Music, is in the guitar biz. We are in Shelburne, Nova Scotia and, in addition to a wide range of guitars, we are the exclusive retail outlet for the guitars of Russel Crosby. He is a remarkably talents luthier from Nova Scotia and we are proud to be working with him. You can visit our Reverb store to see what we have for sale.

Hi, as some of you may know, I have closed New Hope Guitar Traders. While my love of guitars continues, my business of buying and selling them has not. Thank you all for your interest and support over the years. Like you, I will continue to make music for many years and with great joy. Jay

This is an actual Josh White Ovation. As I explain, the earlier guitar I posted as a Josh White has the same model number and very similar specs. This one is the real deal and is an homage to a great player, actor, and activist.

Well folks, I thought an update was in order since we missed the Philly Show for the first time in forever. It was all due to a bout of back surgery that has had put a significant limit on guitar trading and New Hope Guitar Traders. We are, however, on the mend and all will be well as we enter 2012. I also wanted to let you know that I now have an actual Ovation Josh White and will post a video soon.
