This week we are joined by independent country artist, singer-songwriter, Brian Fuller. Here in part 2, we get more into significant cord closure after some light work (see part 1).

Once the voice shows signs of release and clarity, we start to gently lean in and find our mix.

This helps us warm up the depth of the cord muscle safely as well as rehabs the entirety of the voice, not just the thinnest point.

We start with SOVTs and edge work.

Both create safe cord closure which enables cord healing.

The goal of rehabbing a battered voice is to find clean closure. If you force it, you’ll usually hear a lot of fuzziness in the tone color.

These first few exercises help restore that seal on the cords.
