Each Friday leading up to the Brown County Christkindl Market we will be giving you a little taste of what you can expect on the entertainment side at our festive market. 🔔

This week we are featuring. . .Die Fledermäuschen Tanzgruppe

die Fledermäuschen Tanzgruppe (or “the little bats dance group” in English; named after the Fledermaus Waltz) is the folk dance & cultural performance extension of the German American Klub of Indianapolis. The group performs year-round at festivals, schools, and cultural events throughout the state of Indiana. Our mission is to promote German and American culture, heritage, and traditions; to provide entertainment and instruction in European folk dances as a performance group; and to serve as ambassadors and a cultural resource for German heritage in Indiana. Our performances usually incorporate a mixture of traditional dance presentation and audience participation where we get volunteers out on the dance floor with us – because we believe that folk dance is for everyone!

Today's feature is Hungry Five German Band.
Formed in 2012, this talented group brings the lively sounds of traditional German band music to life! Drawing inspiration from the Hungry Five series first published in the early 20th century. Based in Bloomington, Indiana, they are proud to be affiliated with the Bloomington Community Band.
