I finally got brave enough to try a water slide decal! It was so much easier than I thought it would be.

I had my local vinyl store print the decal using their laser printer. Then, I sealed the decal using a polyurethane sealing spray. I cut the decal to size, let it soak in water, then applied to my cup. I’m going to let it dry overnight before I seal again and apply the last coat of epoxy.

Why do some artists leave glitter off the bottom of some tumblers? It depends on the artist and the style of cup. If a cup has a seam at the bottom, I’ll leave it blank. This provides some extra protection for the customer if the cup is dropped. Some cups, like the skinny tumblers and wine tumblers, look funny if the design doesn’t go all the way to the bottom of the cup.
